Oasis（オアシス）のNoel Gallagher（ノエル・ギャラガー）がイギリスChannel 4の番組Music Hall Of FameでAbba（アバ：写真下）をほめたたえた。

彼は自分も"SOS""Waterloo"や"Super Trouper"のような曲が書きたかったと言い、"Purely from a song writing point of view they were up there with the best.（純粋に歌を書く視点から見ると、それらの曲はベストだ。）""Those songs were amazing. SOS. If I could drop that into Oasis and get away with it I would.（これらの歌は素晴しい。特にSOS。もしOasisでこういう曲をかけたなら、バンドから逃げるよ。）"Waterloo is fantastic. しかしNoelは"Abba was a s*** name for a group."（アバというバンド名は最悪だ。）と言い、Abbaの大ヒット曲の1つ"Dancing Queenが嫌いである理由を"Dancing Queen has been tainted by hairdressers."（ダンシング・クイーンは美容師たち（おそらくゲイ・ピープルの意）に汚されたため。）と述べた。
彼のこのインタビューは、Channel 4で10月24日オンエアされた。
