主役のスーパーマンに大抜擢されたBrandon Routh（ブランドン・ルース：Rowthと発音する：写真）（関連記事）は1979年10月9日アイオワ、Des Moines生まれの25歳。本名Brandon James Routh。Norwalk近くで育った。ここは寄寓にも、TVドラマでスーパーマンを演じた悲劇の俳優George Reeves（ジョージ・リーヴス）の故郷Woolstockに近いという。
